About SDTC
Mission
Our Mission is to bring high level tennis instruction and programming to San Diego’s beautiful public parks. We believe that tennis is a unique sport in that it requires players to compete as individuals which can build confidence but more importantly build bonds of friendship and community among those that play and compete. Tennis is expensive, technically difficult, and frustrating to organize. We believe that tennis programming should be easily accessible and delivered at the highest level to communities across San Diego.
Our Philosophy
We strongly believe that while tennis is a competitive sport, it should be fun! Competitive sports offer many benefits and we believe it is important to continue to learn, improve, and compete at one’s own pace and within one’s personal goals. We are dedicated to challenging our students while maintaining a fun environment to keep students motivated to learn and improve! While we love seeing our students succeed on the court, we believe tennis offers many positive life skills that can be used in the classroom and later on in the workplace. We believe tennis is an amazing vehicle to many other avenues in life!
