Before the Australian Open begins, tennis players around the world compete in warm-up tournaments to get ready for the season. Events like the Brisbane International, Adelaide International, ASB Classic, and the United Cup help players get back into match play and find their rhythm.

These tournaments are important because they help players adjust to fast courts and summer heat. After time off, players use these matches to work on timing, movement, and confidence. Every match helps them feel more prepared before stepping onto the big stage in Melbourne.

At San Diego Tennis Center, we believe preparation matters at every level. That’s why our classes focus on building strong basics and giving players plenty of chances to play. We work on strokes, footwork, and point play so players can feel comfortable during matches.

Our winter session includes classes for both juniors and adults, from beginners to advanced players. Winter classes runs January 5 to March 22 in Point Loma and January 28 to March 19 in Clairemont. Our coaches create a positive and supportive environment where players can learn, improve, and enjoy being on the court. Classes are organized, fun, and designed to help players grow week by week.

Just like the pros use warm-up tournaments to prepare for the Australian Open, winter is a great time to work on your own game. San Diego Tennis Center’s Winter Session is now open, and we would love to have you join us on the court this season 🎾
