2024 US Open and Fall classes in San Diego Tennis Center
The 2024 US Open delivered unforgettable moments, with Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka emerging as champions and making tennis history.
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner dominated the men’s singles final, defeating American Taylor Fritz 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 to claim his second Grand Slam title of the year. After winning his first major at the Australian Open in January, Sinner made headlines by becoming the first player since 1977 to win his first two Grand Slam titles in the same season. His victory was even more special with an emotional dedication to his ailing aunt, solidifying his place among tennis elites.
On the women’s side, Aryna Sabalenka secured her first US Open title with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 win over Jessica Pegula. After the disappointment of losing last year’s final, Sabalenka showed resilience, coming back from a second-set deficit to lift her third Grand Slam trophy. Having successfully defended her Australian Open title earlier this year, Sabalenka extended her unbeaten streak on hard courts to 14 matches, establishing her as a dominant force in women’s tennis.
