Tennis fans know that when the calendar turns to June and July, it’s time to trade the clay for grass. The grass court season is one of the shortest but most exciting stretches on the professional tennis tour. It brings a unique style of play—fast-paced points, precision movement, and a classic, elegant feel that’s unlike any other surface.

It all begins with prestigious warm-up tournaments like the Queen’s Club Championships in London and the Halle Open in Germany. These events offer a preview of who might shine at Wimbledon, the oldest and most iconic tournament in the sport. Wimbledon’s tradition of white attire, strawberries and cream, and royal courtside views sets the stage for drama, history, and unforgettable moments.

Here at San Diego Tennis Center, we’re bringing that same energy to the courts with our afternoon tennis classes for juniors and adults. Whether you’re just getting started or have years of experience, our programs offer something for everyone. Led by our team of certified and passionate instructors, these classes provide structured training focused on stroke development, footwork, strategy, and match play—all tailored to your level.

Juniors will benefit from engaging, skill-based drills that keep them moving, learning, and having fun, while adults can enjoy improving their technique, fitness, and on-court confidence. It’s a great way to stay active, meet fellow tennis enthusiasts, and build your game in a welcoming environment.

Summer classes run on weekdays from June to August — feel free to register early if you'd like to save a spot!
